While some may label Marvel Rivals as an Overwatch clone, creator NetEase earns credit for discovering innovative ways to appeal to its eager and dedicated audience. Introducing Lady Loki, a brand-new costume for the current Strategist hero Loki, providing players a faithful to the comics depiction of the Norse deity.
Not Hela, But Loki
Contrary to some fan speculation, the highly anticipated Lady Loki costume is definitely not a skin for Hela. Instead, it is a complete reskin of Loki the character, complete with fresh voice lines. Judging by the reveal trailer, Lady Loki keeps the full suite of Loki's core powers: Mystical Missile, his trickery skill, and his clone ability. The sole difference is her striking new look, tailored to appeal to an segment of fans eager to spend their Lattice.
A Look and Sound in Action
Below is a look at Lady Loki on the battlefield, along with a sample of her VO, performed by voice actor Abby Trott. Notably Trott is also the voice behind Magik in Marvel Rivals.
Her dialogue and onscreen presence add a fresh dynamic to the well-known kit.
A Gateway to Future Skins
With NetEase has opened the door with this gender-swapped skin for Loki, the Marvel Rivals community is busy considering future possibilities. Popular ideas now range from:
- Gwenpool as the forthcoming Deadpool.
- Jane Foster as Thor.
- Spider-Gwen as Spider-Woman.
The big question is: Does NetEase have the courage to deliver less mainstream variants, such as former hero Sharon Ventura as She-Thing? That will probably hinge on player requests!
When to Get the Skin
The Lady Loki skin will be available in Marvel Rivals from January 1, 2026, at 6 p.m. PST until January 29, 2026, at 6 p.m. PST.
